Yoga Therapy and Physical Therapy – The Best of Both Worlds!

Complementary & Alternative Treatment for Muscle Tension, Joint Aches, Chronic Back & Neck Pain, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Asthma, Weight & Stress Management

“Therapy” implies self-help. “Physical” therapy focuses on helping you understand the physical body as both the mirror that reflects your state of health and the vehicle that should be kept vital for you to experience your natural state of well-being. Health in Motion invites you to experience how the life science of Yoga can guide you toward empowered self care to complement your health care.

Yoga Therapy from a Physical Therapist - the best of both worlds!  Together, Yoga therapist and client evaluate body awareness, alignment, balance, motion, strength, body type, breath, vital energies of respiration, circulation and digestion, emotions, habits of thought, and connection to Self.  Appropriate self care practices are selected from the vast life science of yoga to:
  • Cultivate body awareness
  • Invigorate your body using asana/postures that best address your needs, match  your capabilities and are appropriate for your health status
  • Enhance your breath as a vehicle for flow of the vital energies
  • Listen to the influence of inner dialogue on your state of mind
  • Discover the connection between your emotions and physical tension patterns
  • Recognize beliefs and thought patterns that are obstacles to your well-being
